Finally back home

We finally got back home to the states! I took a quick trip out to Dallas to visit my Mom, pick up my truck and dog, and just hang out and have a good time.

I even had about an hour to fish a farm pond for bass, and it was a success 

 I got to see Audie Murphy's birthplace. If you don't know who he is, Google him, he is a true American badass!

Once I got some what settled, I got to go fish. I pulled up to a blue bird sky, calm water, and 14F temps.

I started catching fish almost immediately.  All of these fish were hard hitting, hard fighting tanks. A change from the fishing I was used to in Germany. The first fish I caught was thick as a tank.

This continued for the rest of the day

At the end of the day, I decided to head home, and stopped to admire one of my favorite views in Colorado
